Whenever I see one of my old friends announce a pregnancy (or any life milestone for that matter) I always secretly hope for the chance to document it.  Of course I want to take beautiful pictures, but I secretly love the excuse to reconnect and catch up on all the life that's happened between then and now.  When I heard I might get the chance to take newborn photos for my high school friend Janae, I was so excited because I knew her baby would be adorable.  What I didn't know was that this photo would break the internet!  Okay, okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but this image quickly gained more likes than almost any photo I've ever posted, and has been shared numerous times on other websites and accounts.😱 *dusts off shoulder in a seemingly nonchalant manner*  Way to go, Sofia!

Weighing in at just over 5lbs, she was the tiniest baby I've ever photographed.  When I picked her up to reposition her, the only thing I could compare it to was holding my cats as kittens!😂  She was so dainty, and warm, and peaceful, and slept through almost the entire session... a photographer's dream come true!💗  I relished the time spent with her and her parents, and the photos didn't turn out too badly either.😉  I'll let them speak for themselves!

Her parents met at CSU San Marcos, so this photo opp was a must!

She even smiled for me at the end... did I mention she was a photographer's dream??

FAMILY: Moffitt Family Portraits

If there is one thing to know for sure, it's that love abounds in this family.  The Moffitts share a unique and strong bond that reflects Christ's love; the kind of bond that makes you want to be part of it all.  It's crazy to think that just 5 or 6 years ago this bunch looked so different, but that just goes to show the importance of regular family photos, y'all!  I so enjoyed getting to capture this year's family portraits, and may I add they were the perfect clients--impeccably dressed and the little ones were all so cooperative!  Enjoy these photos from our November afternoon together:

FAMILY: Musgrave Portraits

Last month I ventured up the coast past Santa Monica to Temescal Canyon--what a hidden gem!  Okay, maybe it's not that hidden at all, but it was perfect for a golden hour photo shoot in LA.  I got to hang with the Musgrave family and take photos to document their daughter Cora, who recently turned 1.  She is an absolute doll and could not take a bad picture.  Her smile is liquid gold, and was worth every drop of patience we needed.  Enjoy a few smiles, on the house...
